The Union Public Service Commission has set an age limit for all the IAS aspirants who wish to appear for the civil service exam. The following is the list that explains everything about age limits based on different categories. Candidates who come under the General category and OBC (creamy layer) must have reached the age of 21 on the 1st August of the Exam year, but must not have reached the age of 32 on the 1st August of the year the exam is conducted. Candidates who come under the OBC (non-creamy layer) category must have reached the age of 21 on 1st August of the year of the Exam but must not have reached the age of 35 on 1st August of the year of the Exam. Candidates belonging to the SC category must have reached the age of 21 on 1st August of the year of the Exam but must not have reached the age of 37 on 1st August of the year of the Exam. Candidates belonging to the ST category must have reached the age of 21 on 1st August of the year of the Exam but must not have reached the age of 37 on 1st August of the year of the Exam.
